Since graduating with remarks from Tel Aviv University, I have been thinking about a career in the fresh produce world. 2 things led to that. My active role in my father's garlic seeds company and a visit to Fruit logistica (A major international post harvest show in Berlin). My father 's company is on a mission to develop new garlic verities and I decided to complete a year of Biology studies to be able to pursue a master degree in plant science - to make myself valuable to the company. I indeed completed that year but didn't go on the academic path. I did work for the company as a research assistant in Volcani institute. I was always thinking about packaging and turning the product into something innovative. When I visited Fruit logistica I was amazed by the industry and by its future. The possibility of preventing food waste by eliminating the need for fresh produce piles in the supermarket is exciting. Following my studies I worked for an economic - agricultural consulting firm. I was a project manager for the ministry of Agriculture, building a high end hydroponics greenhouse. Currently I'm working as a marketing director in an Agtech company called DryGair. I see myself working in the fresh produce market, in Israel or abroad.
